Description
Fjordparken Residential — A Coastal Apartment Project
The developer wanted to establish a clear visual direction early — before investing in costly and time-consuming CGI production and marketing.
Using Renderkits, they tested three distinct style directions:
Nordic Minimalism: Bright surfaces, natural wood, and understated elegance
Warm Coastal Retro: Soft pastels, sandy tones, and patterns inspired by the ‘60s and ‘70s
Elegant Japandi: Clean lines, dark woods, and cozy earth tones
Visual Deliverables:
Moodboards: Renderkits provided 12–15 AI-generated inspirational images per style track, enabling the developer and marketing team to quickly evaluate options.
Final Selected Style: The developer chose the Japandi direction. Renderkits created a curated gallery of 18 images showcasing kitchens, living rooms, and façades.
Mini Style Guide: A PDF with color palettes, material selections, and key styling and lighting notes, ready to share with realtors and interior suppliers.
Financial Impact
Using traditional methods, the developer would have commissioned three separate CGI production runs to test style directions — typically costing around 150,000 NOK (~$14,250 USD) per style and taking 3–4 weeks each.
This would total approximately 450,000 NOK (~$42,750 USD) and up to 12 weeks of production time.
With Renderkits, all three style options were delivered for about 170,000 NOK (~$16,100 USD) in just three weeks.
The result:
Savings of approximately 280,000 NOK (~$26,600 USD)
Time reduction of six weeks
Confidence in the final style choice before committing to full CGI
