Urban Loft Transformation
This mockup case explores the transformation of an industrial space into a refined Japandi-inspired retreat. Our focus was on balancing raw authenticity with warm, minimal elegance. Exposed brick and steel columns remain as anchors of the building’s history, while soft tatami textures, natural woods, and linen details introduce calm and intimacy. Through curated material studies—captured in detailed macro shots—we tested tactile combinations that merge industrial grit with organic softness.
The visuals are crafted to immerse the viewer in the mood of the space as much as its design. Wide shots convey the dramatic scale of the loft, with lantern lighting and low furniture layouts creating intimate zones within the open volume. Close-up details reveal the textures—stone, clay, fabric—that make the space feel lived-in yet intentional. Every image works as both documentation and storytelling, allowing the viewer to experience the interplay between light, texture, and spatial rhythm.
From an existing open-plan industrial shell, we developed a complete Japandi-style concept in just 48 hours—refining lighting, materiality, and spatial layout for presentation-ready visuals.
